May 2022: Renew Buccleuch

Renew Buccleuch is a four-week initiative to celebrate what God has done in and through Buccleuch Free Church and to invite members and friends to participate in the mission of the church by giving generously toward the renewal of our church’s building, community, and ministry.

Vision: To see Buccleuch Free Church participate in the advancement of God’s kingdom in Scotland through reaching people with the gospel, growing as Christians, building authentic community, and supporting local and global missions.

Opportunity: Buccleuch Free Church is providentially planted in the heart of Edinburgh. As Edinburgh continues to grow in population and diversity, so should our presence as a gospel-centered congregation for the glory of God and the good of the city. By investing our time and resources, we can play a vital role in equipping our church to impact our city with the good news of Jesus Christ for generations to come.

Refurbish

A thoughtfully-designed renovation of our existing sanctuary will provide an attractive environment to welcome new members and visitors as well as create a more functional space for a variety of ministry activities and community events.

Reconnect

We seek to increase our presence in the community and strengthen our relationship with our Southside neighbours, university students, international community, and local ministries.

Revive

We are committed to participating in the spiritual revitalisation of the church in Scotland. While we desire to have a greater impact in our city and local community, we also have the opportunity to serve as the mother church for a church plant in Galashiels.

Call to Action

  2. Sacrificial Giving Generously give our financial resources for the renovation of our church building in order to increase our functional space for ongoing gospel work.
