At Buccleuch we want to be a community of believers who love, serve and grow together.
Community Discipleship Groups
At Buccleuch we have Community Discipleship Groups (CDGs) where we study the Bible and pray together to strengthen our relationship with God and each other. While we can’t meet in each other’s homes we are using Zoom for our CDGs. All the groups would be delighted to have you join them. To get the Zoom details for your nearest group please contact us.
Because we are near the University, we are always delighted to have students as part of our church family. We have weekly student discipleship groups on Zoom, and our students regularly enjoy hospitality from the congregation. As you begin to settle in church life there are lots of ways to be involved in serving on Sundays or through the week. It is our prayer that your time studying in Edinburgh will be a fruitful one connecting with and serving a local church and growing to be more Christlike.
We enjoy the mix of ages that we have in church and try hard to minister to people whatever their age and stage might be.
Junior Church (P1-P7) is online for the next few weeks, but we hope to get back to holding it at the 11am service with games, crafts, stories and quizzes all used to teach God’s word in a fun way. Bible Class (S1-S3) meet on a Sunday evening for informal Bible study and discussion. All our volunteers are PVG checked.
We want to equip and encourage women to be rooted in their faith as they seek a deeper relationship with God and one another. As with all our activities, our women’s ministry has moved online for the time being.
Rooted is our women’s bible study which meets monthly on a Tuesday at 1pm.
Rekindled is our monthly book group which isn’t meeting until we get back to normal.
