Rekindled, our women’s ministry recently had a social evening with Su from Fresh Green Clean. Su is passionate about caring for God’s creation by promoting cleaning with natural products which have a minimal effect on the planet.

The first part of the evening was a talk about cleaning products we often use in the home, their advantages (clean homes fast) and their disadvantages (harmful to our health and the planet). After a cup of tea and a chat we then got our hands dirty…or clean… making some products to use in our own homes. We made washing-powder, surface spray and floor cleaner. Among other things we used soap, bicarbonate of soda and vodka! We were all given a recipe book to make other cleaning products which will save us money and help minimise the environmental impact of cleaning our homes.
I am happy to report that my clothes, surfaces and clothes are as clean as they ever were!
