Welcome to Buccleuch!

Buccleuch is a friendly, diverse church located in the vibrant Southside community, close to Edinburgh University. What brings us together is our belief that Jesus is God’s good news to the world, and that his coming into the world has changed history and changes lives forever. We would be glad to welcome you to join with us to worship, to explore, or to discover this good news with us.

Our Sunday services are at 11am and 5:30pm every Sunday.

Latest Sermon

  • Worshipping God We gather on Sunday to be served and strengthened by God so that we can use our lives to serve God and others, believing the gospel of Jesus Christ is both the power of salvation and the power to sustain us in a life of faith.
  • Sharing the gospel We care about sharing the good news of Jesus in the city of Edinburgh as a church, and we want to equip our members to talk about Jesus, and partner with other gospel churches around the city.
  • Growing disciples We want to grow together as disciples who are faithful to the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), so that young and old become a community of faith serving each other and our city.
  • Serving our city We look to encourage members to use their spiritual gifts and resources both inside and outside the church, for the benefit of our local Southside community, together with our personal areas of influence.
  • Training future leaders We aim to invest time and resources in equipping members to become effective followers of Jesus in everyday life, and to partner with Edinburgh Theological Seminary in preparing ministers and church workers for gospel service.
